What were they looking for?

Pfizer's goal was to bridge the gap between technical and creative, so they needed a solution that could handle interactive and immersive content throughout Pfizer’s digital portfolio. After evaluating various options, Vev stood out as the perfect fit for their existing tech stack.

Vev wasn’t just another tool—we became a partner, adapting to Pfizer's requirements and bringing new capabilities to help them integrate and modularize content.

"When searching for a platform, we needed the best of both worlds: a no code solution that allowed us to level up designers and creatives, but with the flexibility to bring in hard line coders. Vev hit all the marks. The platform is built in a way that slotted neatly into what Immersive Studio is already doing."

Challenge One

The Problem

High drop-off rates and audience disengagement

When Pfizer collaborated with Marvel on the Everyday Heroes comic for their COVID vaccination program, Marvel managed the US launch using their proprietary comic reader. But for international markets, they needed to find another solution due to licensing restrictions outside the US.

Initially, they used a PDF reader on their sites, but the format led to poor user engagement, especially on mobile devices, with many readers dropping off before finishing the comic.

The Solution

Scalable, interactive content creation

Working alongside Vev’s product specialists, Pfizer developed a proof of concept that turned the static comic into an animated, scrollytelling experience. Using the template created in Vev, they quickly adapted it for various global markets, embracing a sustainable and scalable approach to content creation.

The Result

A 50x increase in engagement

After launching the Vev-enhanced comic, Pfizer saw a dramatic boost in engagement, with up to 50 times more initial interactions and around 25 times more people completing the comic.

"The Everyday Heroes comic was a great project to kick-start our partnership with Vev. It allowed us to demonstrate the capabilities of the platform to internal stakeholders and established early ways of working with the Vev team who built out the proof of concept and template."

Challenge Two

The Problem

Rapid prototyping and launch of a cutting-edge website with complex technical needs

When Pfizer was tasked with building a website for the ‘Let’s Outdo Cancer’ campaign—timed for Super Bowl Sunday—it was clear they needed a tool that would allow for creative freedom, fast prototyping, and seamless CMS integration.

Working in tandem with Pfizer's internal tools and development platforms, the site needed to be interactive, visually immersive, and built to impress, all under an ambitious timeline to hit the Super Bowl LVIII deadline.

The Solution

A tool and a team that could scale with ease

Vev’s versatility allowed the team to move fast and meet all of the requirements. Vev's no-code features enabled Pfizer to craft complex, engaging designs quickly, while custom components added rich interactions. With seamless export and embed options, they could effortlessly integrate these interactive elements into Pfizer’s broader development ecosystem, complementing their existing tools without a hitch.

The Result

Exceptional engagement

The Super Bowl campaign attracted a remarkable audience, driving significant user interaction and delivering a flawless experience at every turn. The innovative, interactive experience captivated users, making the campaign a standout success and reinforcing Pfizer’s mission in a powerful, memorable way.

"One of the biggest advantages that Vev brought to the table was the ability to rapidly prototype; we’d wake up to new design concepts, and within a few hours we could put something in front of stakeholders."

The Vision: What does the future hold?

Vev will play a central role in Pfizer Immersive Studio’s strategy for digital content innovation. Pfizer's goal is to harness Vev’s capabilities to create a comprehensive library of reusable design components that can be quickly adapted and deployed across different markets and campaigns. This approach will allow them to dramatically accelerate their content creation process, making it more agile, scalable, and consistent across all global touchpoints.

"Vev has made building content more efficient, and in the long run it will be a lot cheaper and faster—we’re building more for less."
