How Experian launches interactive, data-heavy reports with Vev

"What used to take significant time in developing HTML based page with a limited design possibility now ships in a week with greater design freedom, and AI is helping us create chart components efficiently, reducing manual adjustments."

Introduction to Experian

Experian is a global data and technology company that helps organizations make informed decisions, access financial opportunities and manage risk using data, analytics and technology. Across EMEA, the team uses Vev to launch some of the year's most important external assets: industry reports, major campaign landing pages, and the interactive experiences that surround them.

Challenge One

Months-long production cycles and agency dependency

Before Vev, even a simple landing page at Experian could take a lot of time to build. Reports were sometimes produced through external partners, which made it more challenging to iterate quickly and optimise experiences based on audience behaviour.

Shortly after, the team adopted another no-code design platform, but it lacked flexibility where it mattered most. Even designing a multi-state button was cumbersome and, crucially for a data-driven business like Experian, it offered no native chart component.

The Solution

Vev, built for data-rich content production

The team switched to Vev for three reasons:

  • Creative freedom

  • Platform stability

  • A steady stream of new features the team could actually use in production

Just as importantly, Vev's native charts component meant Experian could lay out data-heavy reports without rebuilding visualizations from scratch.

The team also leaned into report-specific design patterns that made the experience easier to consume—most notably collapsible sections, which let readers move through dense research at their own pace without abandoning the page.

"We needed more freedom, more stability, and a tool where rapid feature development matched the pace we wanted to move at. Vev gave us that."

The Result

Interactive flagship reports, shipped in a week

The team's most complex, interactive campaigns can now be delievered in a matter of weeks, including design, build, and review. The team’s approach focuses on user experience, including collapsible sections, scrollytelling, and a clear path to the report downloads.

The team has observed increased engagement and lead generation with previous report experiences. Every layout decision is informed by on-page analytics, helping the team refine future report experiences.

Challenge Two

Chart customization at scale

Experian’s reports are unusually chart-dense. Vev’s native chart component covers most of the team’s needs out of the box, but key research reports like the Forrester reports calls for something more bespoke: precise number and percentage placement, custom annotations, suffix handling, and a level of brand and editorial polish tailored to each report.

Hitting that bar at scale used to mean designing the bespoke elements of each chart variation by hand.

The Solution

Element AI as a productivity accelerator

The team brought Vev's Element AI into the workflow not to "make AI art," but to remove a real production bottleneck. Instead of designing each chart variant by hand, the team uses Element AI to generate a custom chart component that matches Experian's exact specifications. Because every AI-generated component in Vev is fully editable, the team owns and can modify it immediately after creation.

The Result

Bespoke chart components, built in 10 minutes

What used to take hours now takes about ten minutes, reducing the time required to create custom chart components roughly a 10x speed-up on the most time-consuming part of building a data-heavy report.

And when a number changes during review, the team can update the component in one place instead of manually tweaking multiple elements.

"Vev’s AI lets me create components I can easily update in one place, instead of having to tweak multiple parts manually."

The team is now planning to use Element AI as a standard part of building the next round of flagship reports.

The Vision

AI as a native part of the content workflow

For Experian, Vev has evolved from simply being “a better tool” into a core part of how the EMEA team produces interactive, data-heavy content at the pace the business now expects.

The next chapter is about pushing AI further into the production workflow.

Asked to describe Vev in one word, the team’s lead chose “surprising,” noting he has never seen this volume of meaningful platform updates land in a single tool over so many years.

Would he recommend Vev to other enterprise teams?

“Yes, based on our experience.”
