Nordlys and Amedia Win at "Journalism Oscars" with Vev

Vev-users Amedia and Nordlys have taken home gold at INMA Global Media Awards 2024.

Every year, the International News Media Association (INMA) host the Global Media Awards, the world's largest conference for journalists and media houses, also known as the "Journalism Oscars". With over 16,000 members in over 900 media companies in over 70 countries, the bar is set extremely high when it comes to beating out the competition for first place.

We are excited to announce that Nordlys won their first INMA Global Media Award this year at the London conference for their content-piece "The Avalanche (Skredet)", made in Vev.

When speaking about the project to INMA, Amedia said: "For the comprehensive integration of these elements, we employed VEV Design and engaged two professionals. VEV's templates enhance visual storytelling, allowing the incorporation of our animations and graphics. For instance, the ticking clock feature was created using a VEV template combined with our data."

"This piece has redefined Amedia's approach to visual storytelling. Never before has a story incorporated such a diverse array of tools. Without a dedicated publishing system for this story type, we utilized VEV Design for its presentation. This has prompted internal efforts to enhance our visual storytelling capabilities."
